Vishruth R. Singireddy

Vish is an associate in the intellectual property group whose practice focuses on patent prosecution across a wide range of technologies and industries ranging from software, artificial intelligence, and electrical systems to biotechnology, medical devices, mechanical technologies, apparel, and consumer products. He works closely with inventors and in-house teams to translate complex technical concepts into enforceable patent claims. Vish’s intellectual property experience also extends to patent disputes, including matters before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and federal district courts, giving him insight into how patents perform under challenge. This perspective informs his prosecution strategy, helping clients build portfolios that withstand scrutiny.

Vish joined Smith Gambrell & Russell as a Patent Agent and is now a Patent Attorney. Prior to SGR, Vish worked at UGA Innovation Gateway, where he gained experience in technology transfer and intellectual property agreements. There, he collaborated with researchers across life sciences and engineering disciplines, helping move early-stage technologies from the lab toward commercialization.

Vish is committed to expanding access to legal resources and innovation through his pro bono work. Through his externship with Georgia PATENTS, he has helped Georgia-based inventors pursue and protect their innovations. He also served as a student attorney in the Jane W. Wilson Family Justice Clinic at the University of Georgia School of Law, where he represented survivors of domestic violence in protective order proceedings, working directly with clients, preparing cases, and advocating on their behalf in court.
